I have graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver: College of Arts & Media in May 2018 with a BFA emphasis in Digital Design.
I take pride in having a human-centered design approach in all of my work. This approach includes the process of design research, rapid prototyping and user testing in order to ensure optimal end user experience. While my focus is most often in UX Design, I do enjoy working on visual/UI Design and believe this work is instrumental to a positive user experience.
I am consistently committed to continual learning and improvement of my skills. I believe this is the way of the designer. With research and technology relentlessly growing and advancing, it is up to designers to work in parallel and not depend solely on what has been. It is up to us to create and utilize innovative ideas while preserving and satisfying exceptional user experience.

The date and time you are going to meet with your DME
Saturday morning
A list of research questions you will be asking your DME
What kind of preliminary survey questions should I ask?
Are there any resources you know of that I can look into that will help me prepare for user research, concept validation, etc?
What tools are new in the industry that I am unaware of?
What was the most successful thesis project you've seen? Why?
In order to make a thesis question, what is the best way to phrase it? Is it a yes/no answer or an open-ended answer? Can you help me to make sure it evokes curiosity?
Examples that you will be showing your DME that illustrate the direction of your thesis idea and its relevance
When meeting a first time with Amber we discussed many thesis project topics. After narrowing down the ideas to three. After sitting on the three ideas for a day I decided to pick the one that I was most interested in personally and could invest the most amount of time into.
I showed Amber the application I was considering extending on, Mint. The main competitor, Google Sheets and Honeydue. From there, I created a survey that Amber looked over to make sure I was asking the correct questions to begin my research.
I will also be conducting an extensive competitor analysis of Honeydue and Google Sheets to lead me to whether extending Mint is a good idea or not.
